He was named an original class partner in 1990. From 2000-2004, he served as Managing Director-U.S. Fixed Income at Tudor. In 2004, he founded Twinfields Capital Management, a global fixed income hedge fund. Twinfields was additionally responsible for helping build and seed three hedge funds with asset totaling over 2 billion dollars. Mr. Niciforo served on the CBOT Board for two terms (January 1999-December 2001; January 2006-July 2007), as well as the CBOT Nominating Committee. In 2007, he was elected as a Board Member of the CME Group where he remained through 2014. Mr. Niciforo graduated from Georgetown University in 1982. He continued his education at Fordham University School of Law where he graduated and became a member of the New York State Bar in 1988. He also served on the University’s National Board of Advisors for a period of time. Mr. Niciforo also currently serves as President of the Board of The Greenwood School, a school dedicated to helping boys with learning differences.
Charles P. Carey served as Vice Chairman of CME Group from July 2007 to May 2010 and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors. Carey currently serves as Chairman of the Commodity Markets Council (CMC) which is industry association of major commodity market participants and exchanges. An independent futures trader, Carey became a member of CBOT in 1978. He also serves on the Board of Directors of BM&F BOVESPA, the largest exchange company in Latin America. In addition to playing a leading role in the CME/CBOT merger to form CME Group, Carey spearheaded the transformation of CBOT, a member run institution for more than 155 years, into a for-profit, NYSE-listed public company in 2005. Carey has received a number of civic, industry and community service awards.
